Call 2-1-1 for information about essential community services. Hudson Valley 211 is a free 24/7 information and referral service from the United Way. Resources include basic human needs services such as food banks, clothing closets, shelters, rent and utility assistance. Also, physical and mental health resources, including drug and alcohol intervention and rehabilitation; family services including after school and recreation programs, employment support, support for the disabled and elderly. Con Edison/Public Issues
Con Edison makes available detailed information about company positions and testimony on current public issues here, including information about the former Greenburgh Station, a historic manufactured gas storage holder site. Con Ed has entered into a Voluntary Cleanup Agreement with NYSDEC, The New York State Dept. of Enironmental Conservation, to identify, investigate and remediate, if necessary, this and other sites. The Greenburgh Public Library (Town Hall location) is a document repository for site related documents.
