Technology Lending Program

The Greenburgh Public Library is pleased to offer Fire TV Sticks loaded with AcornTV, Disney+, Netflix, Movies Anywhere, Vudu, Crackle, IMDbTV, and PlutoTV to check out. Fire TV sticks are now available to be placed on hold and for check-out.

Before continuing with your reservation, please verify: 

You are a Greenburgh Public Library cardholder in good standing.

Your TV has an HDMI input. 

You have a stable Internet connection with Wifi credentials (Name of Wifi network/SSID and Wifi password).
  • Fire TV Sticks can only be checked out by persons 18 years of age or older who are in good standing with the library and who have a valid Greenburgh Public Library card.

  • Call 914-721-8225 to place a Fire TV Stick on hold with a staff member.

  • Two week loan period with no renewals. 

  • Must be returned with all components included: 

    • Fire TV Stick

    • USB Power Cable

    • HDMI Extended Cable

    • Power Adapter

    • Remote

  • Fire TV Sticks must be returned in person to the Circulation Desk. Fire TV Sticks cannot be put in the Book Drop. 

  • There is a $10.00 late fee, per day, for Fire TV Sticks

  • Fire TV Sticks are quarantined for 24  hours upon return and will remain on patron card during this time. Do not be alarmed, late fees will continue to accrue but will be removed when the quarantine period has ended.

  • The Fire TV Sticks come with printed detailed set-up instructions on how to use equipment. All streaming accounts are pre-loaded. Patrons are not permitted to load their personal accounts on the devices or purchase any in-app movies or streaming services.

  • Please verify that your TV has an HDMI input and your home has a stable Internet connection. A smart-TV is not required. 

Fines and Liability

  • The borrower assumes all liability for the cost of repair or replacement in the event of loss, theft, damage, negligence, or misuse.
  • The borrower assumes full financial responsibility ($60) for a lost, missing, stolen or damaged Fire TV stick and accessories
  • A repair fee will be levied for damaged equipment and accessories based on the cost of the repairs.
  • Replacement for the Fire TV Stick, carrying case and/or other accessories will be charged at current market cost.
  • An overdue fine of $10.00 per day, with a maximum fine of $25.00, will be levied for overdue Fire TV Sticks.
  • A patron’s privilege to check-out a Fire TV Stick may be suspended if the patron violates this Circulating Fire TV Stick Lending Policy in any way.

  1. Using the directional buttons on your Fire TV Stick Remote, scroll to the gear.
  2. Select Network.
