
Laptop Lending Program
The Greenburgh Public Library loans out Windows laptops and Chromebooks to GPL cardholders. Laptops can be bundled with a mobile hotspot for Internet access on-the-go.
GPL patrons can check out a laptop for three weeks. Westchester Library System patrons may use a laptop within the library building.
Please note: Turnover of equipment will be subject to a 1-3 day waiting period to allow inspection upon return.
- Greenburgh Library card holders, 18 years or older and in good standing, may check out a laptop for up to three weeks.
- Westchester Library System cardholders, 18 years or older and in good standing, may check out a laptop for use within the library building.
- Please call (914) 721-8225 to place technology on hold with a staff member.
- Must be returned with all components included.
- Equipment must be returned in person during library operating hours.
- There is a $10 late fee, per day.
- All equipment comes with printed detailed set-up instructions on how to use the equipment. There are also detailed instructions on how to restore the Chromebook or Laptop back to factory settings for privacy purposes.
- Patrons should review the Technology Lending Policy before checking items out.
- All devices are Wi-Fi enabled and able to support video conferencing platforms.
- All laptops operate on Windows 11 and come with the following applications:
- Adobe Reader DC, Audacity, Google Chrome, Discord, Droidcam, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, GIMP, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive , Google Sheets, Google Slides, Inkscape, iTunes, Libreoffice, Skype, Spotify, VLC Media Player, and Zoom.
