Library Subscriptions

The Greenburgh Public Library is pleased to offer our patrons premium subscriptions to your favorite streaming platforms. 

Watch premium content from Netflix, Disney+, AcornTV, Apple TV, and Peacock Premium.

We offer two types of devices: Fire TV Sticks and Roku Streaming Sticks

Amazon Fire TV Sticks

Amazon Fire TV Sticks

  • The Library circulates 7 Fire TV Sticks.
  • Subscriptions available on an Amazon Fire TV Stick:
    • Netflix, Disney+, Acorn TV.
  • Additional applications include:
    • Youtube, Kanopy, Hoopla, Movies Anywhere, Vudu, Crackle, Freevee (previously known as IMDbTV, and Pluto TV. 
  • Fire TV Sticks can only be checked out by persons 18 years of age or older who are in good standing with the library and who have a valid Greenburgh Public Library card. 
  • Call 914-721-8225 to place a Fire TV Stick on hold with a staff member. 
  • Two week loan period with no renewals. 
  • Must be returned with all components included: 
    • Fire TV Stick
    • USB Power Cable
    • HDMI Extender Cable
    • Power Adapter
    • Remote 
  • Fire TV Sticks must be returned in person to the Circulation desk. Fire TV Sticks cannot be put in the Book Drop. 
  • There is a $10.00 late fee, per day, for Fire TV Sticks. 
  • Fire TV Sticks are quarantined for 24 hours upon return and will remain on the patron card during this time. Do not be alarmed, late fees may accrue but will be removed when the quarantine period has ended. 
  • Fire TV Sticks come with printed detailed set-up instructions on how to use the equipment. All streaming accounts are pre-loaded. Patrons are not permitted to load their personal accounts on the devices or purchase any in-app movies or streaming services. 

Roku Streaming Sticks

Roku Streaming Devices

  • The Library circulates 3 Roku Streaming Devices.
  • Subscriptions available on a Roku Streaming Device:
    • Apple TV+ and Peacock Premium. 
  • Additional applications include:
    • Youtube, Movies Anywhere, Vudu, Kanopy, Hoopla, Pluto TV, the Roku Channel, Crackle, the CW, Freevee (previously known as IMDbTV), Crunchyroll, NewsON, PBS and PBS Kids.
  • Roku Streaming Devices can only be checked out by persons 18 years of age or older who are in good standing with the library and who have a valid Greenburgh Public Library card. 
  • Call 914-721-8225 to place a Roku Streaming Device on hold with a staff member.

  1. Using the directional buttons on your Fire TV Stick Remote, scroll to the gear.
  2. Select Network.

How to connect Roku Streaming Device to WiFi

1. Navigate to Settings and press OK on your Roku remote. 
2. When you scroll to "Settings," the first option (Network) should already be highlighted.

3. Press OK on your remote again. “Network” should be highlighted.

4. Navigate to “Set up connection” and press “OK” on your remote. 
5. You’ll see the option to set up a connection on the right side of the page.

6. Select your wireless home network from the list.
7. Enter the wireless home network password, then select “Connect.”
