Take-home Technology and In-building Lending Program

The Greenburgh Public Library is pleased to offer our Technology Lending Program. The library offers Chromebooks, Windows Laptops, and Hotspots for use within the library building or to take home.

Greenburgh Public Library patrons can check out a laptop for up to three weeks and can be bundled with a mobile WiFi hotspot. Westchester Library System patrons can only use our equipment within the building. 

  • Long term lending of our equipment can only be checked out by a valid Greenburgh Public Library cardholder, in good standing, and persons 18 years of age or older. 
  • In-building lending of our equipment can be checked out by any valid Westchester Library System cardholder, in good standing, and persons 18 years of age or older. 
  • Please call (914) 721-8225 to place technology on hold with a staff member.
  • Three week loan period with no renewals for long term lending.
  • Same-day loans for in-building use.
  • Must be returned with all components included.
  • Equipment must be returned in person during library operating hours.
    • Library Hours: Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat - 9:30am - 5:00pm & Tues, Wed - 9:30am - 7:00pm
  • There is a $10 late fee, per day.
  • All equipment comes with printed detailed set-up instructions on how to use the equipment. There are also detailed instructions on how to restore the Chromebook or Laptop back to factory settings for privacy purposes.
  • Patrons should review the Technology Bundle Borrowing Policy before checking items out.
