Take-home Technology

The Greenburgh Public Library is pleased to offer our Technology Lending Program. The library offers Chromebooks, Laptops, and Hotspot check-out service. Equipment can be placed on hold is available for check-out.

  • Take-home technology can only be checked out by a valid Greenburgh Library card holder, in good standing, and persons 18 years of age or older.
  • Please call (914) 721-8225 to place take-home technology on hold with a staff member.
  • Three week loan period with no renewals.
  • Must be returned with all components included.
  • Equipment must be returned in person during library operating hours.
    • Library Hours: Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat - 10:00am - 5:00pm & Tues, Wed - 10:00am - 7:00pm
  • There is a $10 late fee, per day.
  • Technology is quarantined for 96 hours upon return and will remain on patron card during this time. Do not be alarmed, late fees will continue to accrue but will be removed when the quarantine period has ended.
  • All equipment comes with printed detailed set-up instructions on how to use the equipment. There are also detailed instructions on how to restore the Chromebook or Laptop back to factory settings for privacy purposes.
    • Staff will also reset and disinfect technology between check-outs.
  • Patrons should review the Technology Bundle Borrowing Policy before checking items out.
