The Acceleration Project (TAP) -  an innovative consulting firm that provides high-caliber business advice to small businesses, entrepreneurs, municipalities and nonprofits, with a focus on minority and women-owned businesses.TAP is a 501c(3), supported by grants and donations in order to serve our clients at a cost well below market.

Business Council of Westchester Westchester County’s largest and most influential business membership organization, The BCW is committed to helping their members build their businesses, connect with customers, business peers and thought-leaders

Chambers of Commerce Chambers are membership-based organizations dedicated to promoting businesses in a given town. They can help a small business get exposure within the community it serves.

Gateway to Entrepreneurship (G2E) through collaboration G2E is a resources hub for entrepreneurial development at all stages offering programs that respond to entrepreneurs needs. (fee-based events)

Industrial Development Agency (IDA) The County of Westchester IDA can be an important source of financial assistance to both existing businesses and those relocating.  A variety of incentives are available to corporations and small companies.

Rockland Economic Development Corporation assists women, minority and disadvantaged businesses secure MWBE and DBE certification and learn how to compete for government contracts. (free)

SCORE Westchester is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. (services and programs are free)

Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides expert management and technical assistance to start-ups and existing business across the state with emphasis on manufacturers, exporters and technology-oriented firms.(free)

Westchester County Association The mission of the WCA is to: drive economic vitality and development in Westchester and the region; stimulate new business creation; be an information resource center for our members and more.

Women's Enterprise Development Center (WEDC) the premier hub for women entrepreneurs in Westchester County and the Lower Hudson Valley providing training, advisory services and access to capital. (some events are free)

Westchester Networking for Professionals  WNFP offers its members whether they are just starting out their business career or already established many ways to help them with their journey to success.

Funding Sources:
ACCION USA offers flexible loans (up to $50,000) and provides affordable alternatives to high-cost sources of capital, such as credit cards, factoring, or predatory lenders.

Community Capital of New York (CCNY) an SBA Certified Lender, offers small business loans at competitive rates to start-up and emerging Businesses that have trouble meeting the credit or collateral requirements of a traditional bank.

NY Business Development Corporation a complement to conventional banking, working in partnership with banks to provide term loans, many of which do not meet the requirements for traditional financing.

TruFund Financial Services, Inc. provides loans and free business counseling to operate small businesses and non-profits that have challenges obtaining financing from traditional banking institutions.
