Our mission is to provide and promote access to high-quality online information about: free legal services throughout New York State, legal rights in a broad range of substantive areas, the New York State court system, advocacy groups, government offices and social service organizations that help low-income New Yorkers.
The Ninth Judicial District Court Help Center employs a staff attorney and a court analyst to provide free court and procedural information to pro se litigants. They are neutral parties who cannot give legal advice or tell you the best way to handle your case.

The Hudson Valley Justice Center provides free, high quality legal counsel in civil matters where basic human needs are at stake. Hudson Valley Justice Center serves poor and low-income immigrants who cannot afford an attorney, regardless of immigration status. The office handles individual, class action, and other impact cases, and partners with others to promote meaningful access to the American system of justice for all people regardless of their economic or social condition.
The Danger Assessment helps to determine the level of danger an abused woman has of being killed by her intimate partner. It is free and available to the public. Using the Danger Assessment requires the weighted scoring and interpretation that is provided after completing the training. The Danger Assessment is available in a variety of languages.
Founded in 2012 as an independent research and data collection group, the Gun Violence Archive (GVA) is a not for profit organization that "provide[s] online public access to accurate information about gun-related violence in the United States." GVA's abundant data tables include links to each incident's annotation specifying its cause and other details, as well as links to GVA's sources for information on that incident, such as police blotters and media reports.
