A New Look in our Children's Room: Redesign

Have you been to the new Children’s Space on the second floor of the library?

Thanks to the Greenburgh Public Library Guild and their fundraising efforts, our new $100,000 Children’s space has even more wonderful things for kids to do! A huge draw is the Tri Table that has three unique surfaces; a lightbox for magnetic see-through tiles, a baseplate for Duplo Blocks, and a train table for children to do a multitude of building and discovering.

Children love to climb all over the life sized, soft building blocks as they play and discover the architect within. Look for the panels at the ends of the shelving units for toddlers to express their artistic talents through chalk and magnetic manipulatives. And even though there is only one reading nook for little ones to climb in, they share the space while hunkering down with a good friend and good book.

The room has certainly made an impact especially with the kids. One little patron came running into the new space saying “WOW” over and over again while another said she was “in Library Heaven!” So stop by the library and have a look at all there is to see, read and do!
