Good Afternoon,

Back in April 2018, I sat down with attendees at Stitchfest to chat. My first chat was with Pat B., who is a very regular attendee to Stitchfest. Pat showed me some of her finished objects.  Her favorite form of crochet is called amigurumi, pronounced “AH-MEE-GOO-ROO-MEE”.

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting or knitting small, stuffed yarn creatures. I had always thought amigurumi was only for crochet, there's my first TIL (today I learned) of the day.

In the video, Pat mentions the Etsy shop, 6060 as a good source for the safety eyes and noses for amigurumi.

Check the Stitchfest Pinterest board for some amigurumi pins, look under the Bags, Bowls, Household & Fund Stuff board.

Happy Stitching,

Genie
