You Count! Census 2020

Every 10 years the Census Bureau counts each and every person who lives in America. Each one of us is important because you count, I count, everyone you know counts.

The goal of the census is to find out how many people live in this country. An accurate count of the population is the basis for making critical decisions about the government, economy, education, transportation, social services, etc., that are vital to everyone. It’s simple, really, the less people who are counted, the less funding dollars, your neighborhood will receive.

Getting counted is actually very easy. Starting in March each household will receive a postcard about how to get counted. The easiest way to get counted is using the Internet. The website for the census form will be available starting March 23, 2020. Using your favorite device, you can answer the 10 questions on the census form. The deadline for submitting your census form is April 1, 2020.

The Greenburgh Library is here to help with your census form.  Librarians are available to help you answer the questions and submit your form via the Internet:

Thursday, March 26, 2020, 10 am to 12 pm

Tuesday March 31, 2020, 6 pm to 8 pm

Sunday, April 5, 2020, 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Don't get left out! You count!
