Cord cutters rejoice! Greenburgh Public Library now provides access to Kanopy, a video library with 26,000 films available for you to stream on many internet connected devices, as well as select tv streaming devices like Roku & Apple TV. Kanopy is an excellent source of award-winning world film, must-see classics from The Criterion Collection, compelling independent cinema, and educational mainstays like The Great Courses and PBS documentaries.

You may be wondering.....

Does it cost money?
The library pays for it! You can easily access it with just your library card.

How much can I watch?
Each library card holder gets 10 video credits per month, once you've checked out a video you get 3 days to watch it. Play credits reset on the 1st of the month.

Is there an App so I can watch on my device?
Yes! Kanopy has Apps for iOS and Android devices.

How do I sign up?
So glad you asked! Follow these steps:
1. Go to wls.kanopystreaming.com and create an account by clicking on the sign up button
2. Go to your email account to verify your email address
3. Add your library card number and PIN
4. Start watching videos!

Check out Kanopy's FAQ page for more help, or contact our Information Desk at 914-721-8225.

So whether it's too hot to go outside, you find yourself stuck in an (wifi connected) airport on your way home from summer vacation, or you've just cut the cord, Kanopy is now available for your viewing enjoyment!
