Behind the Scenes: GPL's Upcoming Construction Project

Update: Construction to Start the Week of July 8, 2024

GPL is embarking on an exciting 10-week renovation project starting the week of June 10th! While the front entrance undergoes exterior renovation, the Library will remain open, welcoming patrons through a temporary entrance at the side door facing Route 119. This renovation aims to enhance our space and address leaks under the overhanging canopy and in the vestibule area.

During the construction, patrons can expect some noise, particularly in the Swoop area (Adult Fiction and Non-Fiction section), starting at 7:00 am and continuing through the early afternoon. Although the Library circle will be closed to traffic and parking, access to services like Holds Lockers and Curbside Pick-Up will remain unaffected.

We’re dedicated to keeping our community informed and engaged throughout this process. Updates will be provided through our website, social media channels, and community outreach efforts. Thank you for your patience and support as we work to improve our library space for the Greenburgh community!
