Are you a movie enthusiast looking to share your love for films with like-minded individuals? Look no further than the Greenburgh Public Library (GPL) Film Club! This is your chance to dive into the world of cinema, engage in lively discussions, and explore the art of filmmaking—all within a welcoming community.

What’s the GPL Film Club All About?

The GPL Film Club is the perfect space for both casual viewers and serious cinephiles. Whether you’re an in-depth analyst or just love a good story, our club offers something for everyone. We meet every month on the first Wednesday at 7 PM, giving you the option to join us in person in the Small Conference Room or virtually via Zoom.

Each month, we select a film for discussion, and we encourage participants to watch the movie on their own beforehand. Physical copies of the selected film are available for pickup at the library’s first-floor circulation desk—just be sure to grab yours early, as supplies are limited!

Upcoming Screenings and Discussions

Mark your calendars for the following film discussions:

*Please note that there is no film club meeting in December.

Why Join the GPL Film Club?

Joining the GPL Film Club offers you the chance to:

  • Expand Your Film Knowledge: Discover new films, directors, and genres you may not have explored before.

  • Engage in Thoughtful Discussion: Share your insights, hear different perspectives, and deepen your understanding of film as an art form.

  • Meet Fellow Movie Lovers: Connect with others who share your passion for movies, whether in person or online.

  • Access Free Resources: Take advantage of the library’s film collection, and enjoy free access to physical copies of each month’s film.

How to Join

Joining the GPL Film Club is simple. Registration is required, so be sure to sign up in advance to secure your spot. To register or for more information, just call the Greenburgh Library Information Desk at 914-721-8225.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of cinema. Whether you’re in it for the popcorn, the plot twists, or the profound discussions, the GPL Film Club has a seat waiting for you!
