Who better to recommend teen books for teens than teens?! If anything peaks your interest be sure to check it out of GPL as a book, ebook, or audiobook.
This book features the main character, Auden, facing and struggling through many traumas in her life. Throughout her life as a kid, she was forced to grow up as an adult, resulting in her lack of interest in society and interactions with other teenagers. She soon becomes involved in her parent's divorce and decides to visit her father. She soon meets people that could change her life for the best or for the worst.
The novel is a realistic fiction book that talks about the once hidden efforts of the Navajo Marines during WW2. I had to read this for summer reading assignment, but I still seriously enjoyed this book. With it's ups and downs, excitement, and turmoil, I think this book is for you if you enjoy history.

Rainbow Rowell (which is an amazing name, by the way) truly knows how to represent the minority. A relatively overweight girl named Eleanor with a father issue moves to a new school and meets mixed race Park, and they fall in love and have a wonderful relationship full of romantic tension and making out. This is one of the rare few books that I have read about a half Korean girl protagonist (if you know of any more, please let me know). And it isn't the minority representation that makes this book good; it's the beautiful style of writing that Rowell has. By cutting out the unnecessary redundancy and getting right to the good parts without leaving out the romantic tension, Rowell is a skillful teenage romance author. If you like love stories, you definitely need to read this.

"Cat" must get used to her new home by the ocean. Her little sister has Cystic Fibrosis a breathing and digestion disorder. It is hard for Catrena until she finds out about the ghosts in her town. This book is a graphic novel.

In this refreshing companion to 'Dumplin'', female friendships and body-positivity take center stage. The book follows Millie Michalchuk, an overweight girl confident in her own skin and with dreams of becoming a broadcast journalist, and Callie Reyes, a half-Mexican 'popular' girl kicked off the dance team for committing a crime. The two become unlikely friends and learn to find the good things among the bad in their small Texas city.

This book had me questioning every move every character made and that's a good thing! This book was so beautiful and the ending made me smile like a maniac! I love it!
A fifteen year old Peer Ulfsson is haunted by his past. he lives with his evil uncles under the eerie shadows of Troll Fell. He feels he may never belong. But he finds out about another person in the village more peculiar than him.
This was a good book. This book taught me that sometimes people are not who you think. It also shows me that sometimes you loose friendships but you will make new stronger ones.
