This month Greenburgh Public Library's Youth Service Department got very familiar with one of our favorite resources for children and families - Kanopy Kids, a subdivision of the on-demand streaming video platform for public libraries and universities, Kanopy (all Kanopy member accounts have access to Kanopy Kids). Here's what you need to know:

Kanopy Kids is appropriate for children 2 and up, with a focus on ages 2-8. It features a diverse selection of educational and entertaining content in the form of movies, TV series, animated storybooks, live action, and animated favorites. Each library card account receives 20 play credits on the 1st of the month but play credits are NOT used when viewing Kanopy Kids (or The Great Courses)!  Users can stream Kanopy on a computer or download the app (from Apple or Google Play) to a phone, tablet or Roku. The app is compatible with most casting devices. For instructions visit GPL's Get Help page for Kanopy.

Users can also:

Of all the videos readily available, I wondered which were the top watched titles on Kanopy Kids? Which I could recommend to GPL members based on number of views? I reached out to our helpful Account Executive, Hannah, and she revealed the top five viewed videos on Kanopy Kids:
