Prom is a special milestone, but the cost of formalwear can be a barrier for many students. Once Upon a Prom, in partnership with the Operation Prom National Network, is collecting gently used prom dresses, suits, shoes, and accessories to help local teens attend their prom—free of charge - and Greenburgh Public Library, along with the Theodore D. Young Community Center and Greenburgh Town Hall, will serve as collection sites for prom attire donations from March 31 to April 7. If you have gently used formalwear, consider donating and giving a local teen the chance to shine on their big night.
High school seniors in need of prom attire are invited to register to attend the Operation Prom giveaway event at the Westchester County Center from May 2 to May 4. Students can browse a selection of free prom dresses and tuxedos, available while supplies last. A valid school ID or report card is required to participate.
Visit the Operation Prom National Network website for more details. If you have any questions, contact Michelle at 914-721-8224.
