Outdoor Summer Fun in Westchester County

by Unknown User on 2020-06-10T09:00:00-04:00 in Greenburgh & Westchester, Sports & Games | 0 Comments

As the cases of the Covid-19 continue declining, you may be thinking about what there is to get out and do this summer. Here are some places you might be interested in going around Westchester County (keep in mind that most of these activities still involve masks and social distancing).

Public Pools

undefinedExcept for the Playland Pool, every county-owned pool in Westchester will open this summer. The Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains and Sprain Ridge Park in Yonkers will both open on June 26, and the pools at Wilson Woods Park in Mount Vernon and Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers will open on July 3, according to County Executive George Latimer.

Public Beaches

Playland and Croton Point Beaches will be open from Wednesdays to Sundays starting on June 26 from 11am - 6:30pm. For more information, visit https://parks.westchestergov.com/covid19-updates

Bicycle Sundays

undefined

Bicycle Sundays have been around since 1974. In years past, the event has gotten 60,000 riders per summer. You can bike, walk or jog along the Bronx River Parkway from 10am-2pm every Sunday throughout June, July and August.
