An entrance to the Hartsdale Canine Cemetery is on the far left off Central Avenue, then a dirt road. c.1910. The cemetery, founded in Hartsdale, N.Y. in 1896 by Dr. S.C. Johnson, was the first of its kind in America.
This granite memorial is to honor dogs for their service in World War I .
