Wonder what the staff here at the library are watching? Check out the following movies and series to see what's playing on our DVD/Bluray players, TVs, and other internet connected devices:
It's great to watch the relationships among the characters develop from the beginning. I watch 1 or 2 episodes at a time (sometimes on the weekend I binge!) - Kathy
Get Shorty teams with excellent dialogue, action, and intrigue following the exploits of an enforcer for a female crime boss in Nevada. The main character finds himself in Hollywood on a job, and being a movie buff-- ends up producing a movie using his tough guy enforcer tactics. (It’s a little more complicated than that). The crime boss, movie directors, producers actors and other crime syndicates become involved in this action packed, well-acted and director drama. -Cory
Winner of 2 Golden Globes and nominated for 5 Academy Awards this is a coming of age story about a young woman in her senior year of high school. The film was authentic, touching, self-aware, painful, and also a hilarious revisiting of some of those last teenage milestones. Thoroughly enjoyable! -Megan
Suits is extremely entertaining. It is a law drama set in Manhattan. It is low on violence and high on ethics. The acting is very good and there is a strong story arc. The show has won many awards and there may even be spin-offs in the making. It is also the TV series that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, wrapped up her acting career before marrying Prince Harry. -Christina
I really enjoyed watching "Won't You Be My Neighbor?", the documentary about Fred Rogers. It was enlightening to learn all about the man in the cardigan and the impact he quietly had on people. -Gail
Still looking for something great to watch? Check out what's streaming on Kanopy, or some of the recent DVDs the library has purchased (October, September, August)!
